Transneft Druzhba Completes Scheduled Repairs at Petroleum Products Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Druzhba has completed scheduled repairs at the Kuybyshev – Bryansk and Section No. 42 petroleum products trunk pipelines. The goal was to ensure uninterrupted and emergency-free operation of the pipeline transportation facilities.

During a scheduled shutdown of the petroleum products transportation, midlife repairs of two gate valves were performed at Voronezh line operation dispatcher station (LODS) and Bryansk loading depot (LD).

Dead-end sections of the process pipelines were eliminated at 8-N LODS.

Two narrowings were cut out, four defects were eliminated on the Section No. 42 PPTP.

The specialists of Bryansk, Michurinsk and Kuybyshev branches of Transneft Druzhba were involved in the scheduled repairs. The repairs took place as part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme at the Company; they were carried round the clock and lasted 72 hours.

Petroleum products transportation has been resumed on schedule and is currently carried out in accordance with the standard protocol.
