Transneft Druzhba Completes Scheduled Works at Operating Facilities in Three Regions

Date of publication: 28 September 2021

Transneft Druzhba has completed scheduled works at operating facilities in Samara, Voronezh, and Bryansk Regions. The works were performed around the clock for 72 hours as part of Transneft Druzhba’s technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme to ensure stable and reliable transportation of petroleum products.

At the 8N line operation dispatcher station (LODS), as part of a 2,000 m3 vertical steel tank (VST) construction, specialists connected VST headers to the process pipelines pressure protection system.

Temporary PIT traps for in-line inspection were installed at the PPTP Section No. 42 and the Nikolskoye – Voronezh offshoot to the Voronezh oil depot. The work was carried out during a scheduled shutdown of diesel fuel transportation via the PPTP Section No. 42; the volume of petroleum products transported via the Nikolskoye – Voronezh PPTP remained unchanged.

Also, without reducing the mode of the Kuybyshev – Unecha – Mozyr-1 PPTP operation, a section of process pipelines was replaced, and two duplicate gate valves were cut at the Lopatino LODS to improve industrial safety of operating facilities.

By now, diesel fuel transportation via the PPTPs has been resumed and is being conducted as scheduled; the pipelines are functioning under the normal protocol.
