Transneft Druzhba has started trial operation of the unified laboratory information system (ELIS).
The goal is to automate activities of the company's laboratories and increase the efficiency of transferring accurate and complete information on the quality of oil and petroleum products to Transneft.
The information system automatically makes calculations based on entered primary data and generates final reports on the quality of oil and petroleum products.
ELIS also allows to control the storage time of reagents, keep records of materials and laboratories equipment, track the timing of verification, certification, calibration of equipment, monitor environmental conditions in laboratory rooms.
At present, trial operation of the system is being carried out in 4 test laboratories for oil quality control and in 8 laboratories for quality control of Transneft Druzhba petroleum products. Based on the testing results, it is planned to introduce ELIS into company’s commercial operation in 2021.
Currently, ELIS has been introduced into commercial operation at Transneft Western Siberia. This year, in addition to Transneft Druzhba, its testing is carried out in five more Transneft subsidiaries.
