Transneft Druzhba has completed revamping of the Kuybyshev – Unecha-2 oil trunk pipeline (OTP) at the Klin – Kuznetsk section.
The works began in April 2019 in Ulyanovsk Region. As part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul (TUR&OH) programme of the company, an 11.8 km OTP section was replaced.
Construction and installation works included revamping of the Ardovat River underwater crossing. Its length with bank sections was 235 m.
The technical connection to the existing OTP was performed in April 2020 during a scheduled shutdown of oil transportation. Commissioning works and a comprehensive test run of telemechanics and automation systems were carried out at the connected section.
Also, by the end of 2020, it is planned to complete the revamping of the Kuybyshev – Unecha-2 oil trunk pipeline (OTP) at the Samara – Krasnoselki section in Samara Region. The purpose of the replacement and revamping works is to improve the reliability of the pipeline to ensure stable and emergency-free oil transportation.
