Transneft Druzhba Completes Scheduled Repairs at Four Petroleum Products Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Druzhba has completed scheduled repairs at four petroleum products trunk pipelines (PPTP). The measures are part of the company’s Technical Upgrading, Revamping and Overhaul Programme. They were carried out around the clock, lasted 72 hours and covered Samara, Tambov, Voronezh and Bryansk Regions. The goal was to maintain high operational reliability of the pipelines.

During a scheduled shutdown of petroleum products transportation through the Voskresenka – Priboy PPTP, specialists connected the newly constructed pressure control unit at the Voskresenka line operation dispatcher station (LODS). An oil meter skid was connected, including a sampling device. Five defects were cut out at the oil trunk pipeline (PPTP). 

A defect was cut out of the Section No. 42 PPTP. Newly constructed PPTP underwater crossings through minor watercourses were connected.  A new oil and petroleum products’ lease automatic custody transfer unit was connected to the process pipeline on the 8N LODS. The measures were carried out during a scheduled shutdown of the PPTP operation.

After in-line inspection, temporary PIG traps at the standby leg of the Nikolskoye - Voronezh PPTP underwater crossing through the Khava and Zhuravka Rivers were dismantled without changing the petroleum products transportation mode.

Two pump units at the loading pump house of the Nikolskoye-1 LODS were connected to the process pipelines. The Kuybyshev – Bryansk PPTP operating mode did not change for the period of the scheduled repairs.

Currently, the pipelines are operating under the standard protocol, petroleum products transportation was resumed on the schedule.
