Replicas of Victory Banner Hoisted at Administrative Buildings of Transneft Druzhba

Date of publication: 30 April 2020

On the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, replicas of the Victory Banner were hoisted at the building of the executive office of Transneft Druzhba, as well as at the administrative buildings of all the regional departments of the company: in Samara, Syzran (Samara Region), Michurinsk (Tambov Region) and Bryansk.

The Victory Banner is a national treasure of Russia, an official symbol of the Victory over Nazi Germany. The banner represents the assault flag of Idritskaya Second-Degree Kutuzov Order Rifle Division No. 150, hoisted by Soviet warriors on 1 May 1945 over the Reichstag.

As part of the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, Transneft Druzhba provides support for repair of monuments to fallen warriors in the regions where its operating facilities are located. From among the company’s employees, the Druzhba search squad was created. Its participants perform search works in combat zones, help in the formation of museum expositions, conduct lessons on courage for schoolchildren.
