Transneft Druzhba Completes Planned Repairs of Trunk Pipelines and Onsite Facilities

Transneft Druzhba has completed scheduled repairs at onsite facilities, the line of the Kuybyshev — Bryansk oil trunk pipeline (PPTP) and the Lopatino — Kuybyshev Refinery petroleum products trunk pipeline (PPTP).

The work was carried out around the clock for 72 hours in the area of responsibility of the Kuybyshev and Penza Regional Directorates.

During a planned shutdown of petroleum products pumping, specialists of Transneft Druzhba cut out a substandard air escape valve at the OTP and three defects of the PPTP line. The stop valves at the pipeline clean-up and inspection gadget trap of the Kuybyshev —  Bryansk PPTP were replaced, two line gate valves were repaired.  

The midlife repairs of gate valves were completed at the Nikulino line operation dispatcher station (LODS), and six stop valves were repaired at the Syzran-1 LODS. Also, the process pipeline section and substandard tees were replaced at the Syzran-1 LODS.

All works were carried out as part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme of Transneft Druzhba in order to ensure uninterrupted and safe operation of oil trunk pipelines.

Oil and petroleum products transportation was resumed in accordance with the schedule and is conducted under the normal protocol.
