Transneft Druzhba Completes Scheduled Repairs at Kuybyshev – Unecha – Mozyr-1 Oil Trunk Pipeline

Transneft Druzhba has completed planned works at the Kuybyshev – Unecha – Mozyr-1 oil trunk pipeline (OTP).  The goal was to increase the reliability of oil transportation.

Within 72 hours, specialists worked around the clock to replace a gate valve and a back pressure valve at the Syzran line operation dispatcher station (LODS), ball valves of the drainage pipe in a chamber with filters at the Nikolskoye LODS, stop valves at the Rostovka oil pumping station (OPS) and the PIG (pipeline clean-up and inspection gadget) trap of the Unecha LODS. At the Lopatino – Krasnoselki looping, a substandard tee and two block valves were replaced with gate valves.

After the revamping, the pressure process pipeline of the Stanovaya OPS and the supply process pipeline at the Kuznetsk OPS were connected.

Air escape valves and repair structures were cut out of the OTP.  

The works were carried out on the territory of Samara, Penza, Tambov, Lipetsk and Bryansk Regions as part of the Technical Upgrading, Revamping and Overhaul Programme of Transneft Druzhba’s facilities.

Oil transportation was resumed in accordance with the schedule and is conducted under the normal protocol.
