Transneft Druzhba Prepares Operational Facilities For Work in Autumn-Winter Period

Transneft Druzhba has completed the preparation of operating facilities for stable operation in the autumn-winter period of 2019–2020.

On oil and petroleum products trunk pipelines, specialists performed maintenance of 1,170 stop valves, checking them for complete opening and closing. Warning signs in the areas where pipelines cross roads and railways were inspected.  More than 347 line telemechanics systems, as well as oil leakage detection systems were tested.

On process pipelines of oil pumping stations (PS), dead-end and non-flowing sections were washed, 3,610 stop valves received seasonal maintenance, periodic pigging of the internal cavity of the pipes of the standby legs of underwater crossings was performed. 104 tanks were prepared for working in the cold season.

Inspection and maintenance of high-voltage cable lines and 582 power transformers was conducted; 48 diesel power plants were prepared.

As part of ensuring fire safety, 34 automatic fire extinguishing systems were tested. Fire water pipelines were examined, the state of primary fire extinguishing equipment was checked. Firefighting vehicles and depots were maintained as necessary.

Preparatory work took place in 33 boiler houses, 920 heat supply points and along 90 km of heating networks.

As a result of the measures taken, a passport of readiness for uninterrupted operation in the autumn-winter period was prepared for the facilities and structures of Transneft Druzhba.
