Transneft Druzhba Completes Scheduled Repairs on Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Druzhba has completed scheduled repairs on the Unecha – Polotsk-1 oil trunk pipeline (OTP) and the Kuibyshev – Bryansk petroleum products trunk pipeline (PPTP). The works were carried out round the clock in Bryansk and Samara Regions and took 72 hours to complete.

During a planned shutdown of oil transportation, the Company's employees repaired two stop valves at the underwater crossing of the oil trunk pipeline (OTP) under the Iput River.

Without changing the mode of pumping of petroleum products through the PPTP, hydraulic tests of the supply pipeline and pipelines of the tank farm of the Syzran-1 line operation dispatcher station (LODS)  were carried out.

The planned repairs were performed as part of Transneft Druzhba’s technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme (TUR&OH Programme). The goal was to increase the reliability of oil and petroleum products transportation system.

The works were completed as scheduled. All the facilities are functioning under the normal protocol.
