With the assistance of Transneft Druzhba, exact sciences classrooms in 20 educational institutions located in the regions where the Company operates have been renovated and provided with modern equipment.
The works were performed under the Transneft corporate charity programme for development of school education for 2017–2019.
Classrooms for physics, chemistry, and mathematics were repaired in accordance with specially designed projects and equipped with interactive whiteboards, digital spreadsheets, training complexes for the unified state exam and other new types of laboratory and demonstration equipment. The Company allocated more than RUB 113 million for these purposes.
In 2019, the programme has included schools in nine regions where the Company’s operating facilities are located: in Bryansk Region, these are the Unecha Secondary School No. 3, the Vygonichi Secondary School named after Pavel Zaitsev and the Peretorgrad branch of the Lopushi school named after the writer N. Gribachev.
In Oryol Region, exact sciences classrooms were revamped in two schools of Verkhovye Settlement.
In Tambov Region, works were performed in schools Nos. 1, 15 and 18 of Michurinsk and in the Zavoronezhskoye secondary school of Michurinsky District.
In Samara Region, Transneft Druzhba provided assistance in equipping classrooms at a secondary school of Priboi Settlement, Bezenchuksky District, and school No. 3 of Bezenchuk Urban Settlement.
In Penza Region, the charity programme included school No. 6 of the town of Kuznetsk and a school in Chemodanovka Settlement named after S. Kuznetsov. The Kanadei and Nikolayevsk secondary schools were repaired and equipped in Ulyanovsk Region.
The Company also funded the repair and equipping of classrooms in the Manturovo secondary school, Kursk Region, the secondary school of Sukhaya Lubna Settlement named after A. Mozgunov in Lipetsk Region, and also Nikolskaya School in Novousmansky District of Voronezh Region.
In 2018, two schools received money for equipping exact sciences classrooms from Transneft Druzhba, and in 2017, funding was provided to four educational institutions.
Over the course of three years, Transneft Druzhba has allocated more than RUB 137 million for the implementation of activities under the corporate programme aimed at repairing and equipping schools.
Transneft's corporate school education development programme for 2017–2019 covered schools in 8 federal districts of the Russian Federation, from the Far East to the Black Sea and the Baltic. The goal is to improve the quality of teaching of exact sciences in small towns and settlements of Russia in order to simplify subsequently obtaining engineering education.
