Transneft Druzhba has completed planned repairs at the Kuibyshev – Unecha-2 and the Unecha – Mozyr-2 oil trunk pipelines (OTPs) as well as the BPS-2.
The works were carried out in the areas of responsibility of all the four branches of the enterprise (Bryansk, Kuibyshev, Michurinsk and Penza Regional Directorates), and took 72 hours to complete in the round-the-clock mode.
Specialists turned off mainline pump unit (MPU) No. 3 at Novoselovo oil pumping station (OPS) and MPU No. 4 at Klin line operation dispatcher station (LODS) for subsequent replacement. At Stanovaya PS, new electric pump unit No. 4 was connected.
Midlife repairs of twelve station gate valves were conducted at Unecha LODS, Krasnoselki, Kuznetsk and Kizhevatovo OPS. Midlife repairs of two stop valves at the Kuibyshev – Unecha-2 OTP were performed.
One stop valve unit was replaced at Gubino PS, and two units were replaced at the PIG trap of Rostovka PS.
A newly-built section of the Ust-Khmelina River’s underwater crossing was connected.
A bypass line with stop valves for a pressure control unit (PCU) was cut out at Krasnoselki PS.
Five defects of the welded sector’s offshoots were eliminated by the spool cut-out and sector replacement method.
The planned activities were carried out under the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme (TUR&OH) of Transneft Druzhba in order to ensure fault- and error-free operation of the pipeline transportation facilities.
Oil transportation has been resumed on schedule and is currently carried out in the normal mode.
