Transneft Druzhba Completes Scheduled Repairs

Transneft Druzhba has conducted scheduled repairs at the Kholmogory – Klin oil trunk pipeline (OTP) and at the Ufa – West, Kuybyshev – Bryansk, Voskresenka – Priboy and Syzran – Ulyanovsk petroleum products trunk pipelines (PPTP). The measures were taken under the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme to maintain the high reliability of the pipeline transportation system.

The vertical steel tanks (VST) No. 5, 6 with a volume of 5,000 m3 each were disconnected from the process pipelines at Voskresenka line operation dispatcher station (LODS). In the area covered by the Kuybyshev branch of the Company, specialists replaced a gate valve and a section of the process pipeline of the tank farm at Syzran-1 LODS. The works were performed during a scheduled shutdown of the Syzran – Ulyanovsk PPTP.

A 140 m long section was replaced at the 739th km of the Kuybyshev – Bryansk PPTP at low pumping mode in Michurinsk Regional Directorate (RD) of Transneft Druzhba. Defects were cut out at the process pipelines of Nikolskoye-1 LODS.  

Two stop valves were replaced at Klin LODS in Penza RD of the Company. The main pump unit No. 1 was connected at Sosedka LODS after its replacement.

The scheduled repairs were conducted round the clock and took 72 hours to complete. Oil and petroleum products transportation was resumed in accordance with the schedule and is conducted in standard mode.
