Transneft Druzhba Introduces Automated System of Energy Monitoring and Metering

Transneft Druzhba has completed the installation of extra metering devices at the operating facilities of the Company's branches in order to upgrade Transneft’s automated measuring and information system of energy monitoring and metering (AMIS EMM).

The works started in April 2018 to eliminate the risks of unaccounted power consumption.

The upgrade took place at Voskresenka line operation dispatcher station (LODS) of Kuybyshev Regional Directorate (RD) of the Company and at Rostovka oil pumping station (PS) of Penza RD, Stanovaya PS of Michurinsk RD, and Novoselovo PS of the Company's branch in Bryansk.
The specialists have carried out the installation and commissioning works, run the tests, performed the calibration of the measurement current and voltage transformers, and set up the process of AMIS data transfer to the data collection and processing centres.

In October this year, the specialists started establishing the AMIS EMM in the administrative building of Transneft Druzhba's executive office. Additionally, the installation of extra metering devices at Desna PS of Bryansk RD is scheduled for November 2018.

The measures taken will allow for the automatic transfer of data on the electricity consumed to the participant organisations of the wholesale market of electric energy and power, as well as for avoiding computation as a method to determine the electricity losses and improving of the accuracy of the monitoring and metering.
