Transneft Druzhba has performed scheduled repairs of the Kuybyshev – Bryansk, Ufa – West and Section No. 42 petroleum products trunk pipelines (PPTP).

The work was carried out around the clock for 72 hours in the Tambov, Lipetsk, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Penza and Bryansk regions. During the shutdown of the petroleum products transportation, workers connected newly built pipeline sections, repaired and replaced stop valves, eliminated defects and conducted hydraulic testing of pipelines at oil pumping stations (PSs).

To improve the reliability of petroleum products transportation through the Priboy – Nikolskoye process section of the Ufa – West PPTP, the newly built sections with a total length of 65 km were connected. In addition, the newly constructed Sura river underwater crossing was connected in Gorodishchensky District of Penza Region.

Eight stop valves of the pipelines were repaired. Five valves were replaced at Nikulino line operation dispatcher station (LODS) and Priboy LODS. Check valves were installed at the collector of the booster pump unit at Nikolskoye LODS.

Also, hydraulic testing of the collector of Kuybyshev – Bryansk trunk pipeline pumping station was carried out at Nikolskoye LODS. In addition, hydraulic testing of the PIG trap at Zhuravlinskaya LODS was performed.

A main pump unit (MPU) was disconnected for subsequent replacement at Sosedka LODS.

A temperature sensor and a density meter were installed at the acceptance site of Stanovaya LODS. Temporary PIG traps were installed at process pipelines to perform in-line inspections at 8N LODS.

All scheduled works were performed as part of the Integrated Technical Upgrading, Revamping, and Overhaul Programme (TUR&OH) of Transneft Druzhba. Petroleum products transportation through the trunk pipelines was resumed within the planned deadlines, and now the pipelines are operating in the normal mode.
