Competitions for the Best Volunteer Fire Brigade Crew of 2018 title have come to an end at Transneft Druzhba.

The competitions were held at the Brandmaster sports society stadium in Bryansk. Four teams representing the Bryansk, Michurinsk, Kuibyshev and Penza regional directorates took part in the event. The contestants were evaluated by judges of both all-Russia and republican ranking for firefighting applied sports.

Each team underwent four types of tests. At the first stage, they had to overcome a 100-meter obstacle course in full uniform. Next, volunteer fire brigades participated in a 4x100-meter relay which involved extinguishing a fire using a portable fire extinguisher. In addition, the teams carried out combat deployment from a fire truck, hit a target with a firehose and demonstrated their level of theoretical training.

According to the results of the championship, the team of Penza Regional Directorate was recognized the best volunteer fire brigade crew of Transneft Druzhba. Second place went to representatives of the Kuibyshev branch of the enterprise. The fire brigade of Bryansk Regional Directorate took third place.

In the individual 100-meter obstacle course competition, the winner was Roman Zinin, a processing units repairman of Rostovka oil pumping station.

The winners will take part in the firefighting applied sports competition finals among Transneft subsidiaries. The finals will be held this August in Yoshkar-Ola with Transneft Upper Volga hosting the event.
