Transneft Druzhba completes scheduled works at Kuibyshev–Unecha–Mozyr-1 oil trunk pipeline

Transneft Druzhba has performed routine repair works at the Kuibyshev – Unecha – Mozyr-1 oil trunk pipeline (OTP).

The repairs were carried out in Samara, Penza, Tambov, Lipetsk, Orel and Bryansk Regions and took 72 hours.

The Company’s specialists executed midlife repairs of 11 gate valves at Malinovka-1 oil pumping station (PS) of Michurinsk Regional Directorate (RD) and two stop valves at Aksinino PS of Bryansk RD. Also repaired were 6 gate valves at an intermediate pig (PIG) trap station in the line portion of the OTP, 4 stop valves at Aksinino PS’s pipeline surge relief system (PSRS), a gate valve of a PIG trap at Syzran line operation dispatcher station (LODS) of Kuibyshev RD and a gate valve at Lopatino tank farm of the Kuibyshev branch.

Recently built mud trap filters were connected at Lubna PS of Michurinsk RD along with a new section of process pipelines at Novozybkov PS of Bryansk Directorate. During the works, a bypass line of a pressure control unit (PCU) at Aksinino-2 PS was disconnected. Dead ends were cut out from process pipelines of Kuznetsk PS, cutting being the method chosen to remove the defects.

The scheduled repairs were completed as part of technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul (TUR&OH) programmes as well as for the purpse of fulfilling repair and operational needs of Transneft Druzhba for 2018. The main goal of the works was to enhance reliability of oil transportation.

The oil pipeline’s operation has been resumed in accordance with the schedule, the pipeline is functioning in the normal mode.
