Transneft Druzhba co-sponsors Slavic Theatrical Meetings festival

Transneft Druzhba has allocated funds to arrange and conduct the 23rd Slavyanskiye Teatralnye Vstrechi (Slavic Theatrical Meetings) international festival held in Bryansk.

The theatrical event that brings together performing groups from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine has been held since 1989. Its main mission is to sustain the brotherhood of Slavic peoples and preserve their common cultural space.

This year, the festival  was attended by representatives for 13 theatres from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Oryol, Samara, Kostroma, Bryansk, Gomel and Grodno. The programme included 19 plays attended by some 7,000 spectators.

Transneft Druzhba has been co-arranging the festival for several years by now. This year, the Company awarded a special prize to Gomel Regional Drama Theatre, a distinguished team of performing artists form the Republic of Belarus.

Gomel is home to Gomeltransneft Druzhba, the Company’s partner. The Belorussian enterprise is in charge of transporting the Russian oil pumped via the Druzhba oil trunk pipeline system to Eastern Europe.
