Transneft Druzhba is carrying out technical upgrading of tank farms at Priboy LODS (line operation dispatcher station) of  Kuibyshev Regional Directorate and Voronezh LODS of  Michurinsk Regional Directorate.

The decision to upgrade two vertical floating-roof tanks (VFRTs) with the volume of 10,000 m3 each at Priboy LODS and a 20,000 m3 VFRT at Voronezh LODS was made based on the results of their comprehensive technical inspection.

By now, the Company has dismantled tank equipment, metal floating roofs, maintenance platforms, manholes, nozzles, a foam line, a firefighting water line and a concrete dike.

Professionals will replace metal structures, tanks’ bottoms and hydrophobic coating. The tanks will undergo hydraulic and comprehensive testing after the work is completed.

The large-scale upgrading of tank farms at Transneft Druzhba’s production facilities is aimed to improve their reliability. The technical upgrading is being implemented in compliance with Transneft’s requirements and regulations, according to the schedule. More than 160 specialists and 40 piece3s of equipment are engaged in the process.
