An environmental monitoring laboratory (EML) affiliated with Michurinsk Directorate of Transneft Druzhba located at Nikolskoye line operation dispatcher station (LODS) has passed a competency validation and accreditation expansion procedure.

A field expert review of the EML was performed by specialists appointed by an order of the Federal Accreditation Service (RusAccreditation).

The expert committee evaluated the availability of metering devices, test equipment and premises for conducting research at the laboratory. The experts also verified the availability of all the required documentation, estimated the employees’ competency and the efficiency of the quality management system.

As of now, the laboratory is carrying out research for production facilities of Transneft Druzhba’s Michurinsk Directorate and the following sites of the Company’s Penza branch: the Sosedka, Bashmakovo, Penza and Penza-2 LODSs as well as the Rostovka and Penza-1 oil pumping stations (PSs). The laboratory’s staff are engaged in examining samples of soil, waste and surface waters, atmospheric air and industrial air emissions.

The expert committee’s opinion has confirmed that the laboratory’s activities fully comply with accreditation criteria. Besides, the EML’s scope of accreditation has been expanded: its professionals will now test potable water samples for colour and turbidity.
