Transneft Druzhba has performed planned repairs at the Klin – Nikolskoye and Nikolskoye – Unecha sections of the Kuibyshev – Unecha – Mozyr-1 oil trunk pipeline (OTP). The repairs took 72 hours non-stop to complete and covered the territory of the Penza, Tambov and Lipetsk regions.

Specialists from Penza Regional Directorate (RD) performed midlife repairs of six gate valves at Kuznetsk oil pumping station (PS) and cut out a defective section of the linear portion.

During a scheduled OTP shutdown, three revamped pipeline sections totaling 32.8 km in length were reconnected.

The work was carried out in accordance with the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programmes (TUR&OH). The measures taken will enhance the pipeline’s operation reliability and safety. Oil transportation has been routinely restarted according to the schedule.
