Transneft Druzhba finalized scheduled repairs in the following petroleum product trunk pipelines (PPTP): Kuybyshev – Bryansk, Ufa – West Direction, Syzran – Ulyanovsk, Penza – Saransk, Voronezh – Belgorod, Section 41, Section 42. Professionals from the Kuybyshev, Penza, Michurinsk, and Bryansk regional directorates performed a large scope of work in Samara, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Orel, and Bryansk Regions during 72 hours.
For instance, six back flow valves were replaced in Sosedka line operation dispatcher station (LODS) and Nikulino LODS. Hydraulic testing of trunk pump unit collectors was conducted at Zhuravlinskaya, Nikulino and Sosedka LODSs, and hydraulic testing of the pressure pipeline, at Priboy LODS. Five station locks were replaced at 8-N LODS. Intermediate overhaul of six locks was held in Section 42 PPTP linear portion and of the lock in the scraper launcher – receiver in Ufa – West Direction PPTP.
In addition, the newly built 428-meter crossing in Ufa – West Direction PPTP over a small water body, the Krymza River, in Samara Region was connected.
All work was performed as part of Transneft Druzhba’s Technical Upgrading, Revamping and Overhaul Program to ensure reliable operation of petroleum product trunk pipelines. As part of the project to increase the Ufa – West Direction PPTP throughput to 8.5 mtpa, the drag reducer introduction installations were connected at Nikulino, Sosedka and Penza 2 LODS.
The petroleum product transportation was resumed according to the schedule; the petroleum product pipelines operate in the routine mode.
