Transneft Druzhba released young fish into the river Tsna, Tambov region

Transneft Druzhba, JSC released young sterlets into the river Tsna in Tambov region within its Michurinsky district area of responsibility.

Artificial reproduction of aquatic biological resources is carried out under the obligatory rebuilding measures taken by the company.

Fish release was arranged in collaboration with Transneft PCD, LLC under Omsk district directorate of the Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo)supervision. More than 67 thousand young fishes joined Tsna ecosystem. The average fish weight is 2.5 grams. All these young sterlets were farmed in Krasnodar Krai by the Dinskiy fish hatchery, specialized in prime sturgeon fish hatching.

Besides the obligatory rebuilding measures will include young fish release into Desna (Bryansk Region), Don (Voronezh region), Oka (Kaluga Region) and Saratov water storage basin in September and October 2017. Altogether within the said period Transneft Druzhba, JSC intends to release more than 31 thousand young European carps and more than 1 thousand sterlets.
