Last year, in Bryansk, where the management center of the Russian segment of the world’s largest pipeline is located nowadays, the fiftieth anniversary of that event was celebrated. The Druzhba museum was opened. Its workers are still collecting memories of veterans who constructed and began to operate the famous oil pipeline.
The new section of the Druzhba pipeline 89 kilometers long and the Penza-1 oil pump station (PS) were built under the Penza bypass project.

Half a century ago the Soviet Union marked the completion of the All-Union Komsomol Construction and implementation of the large-scale project of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (COMECON) of socialist countries – the construction of the Druzhba oil pipeline. The Trunk Pipeline Opening Ceremony took place on October 15, 1964.
