Transneft Druzhba, JSC, a subsidiary of the leading Russian oil transporting company – Transneft (Transneft, JSC before June 30, 2016) – is a large enterprise transporting hydrocarbons.
The oil trunk pipeline built in 1964 runs through Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, and Lithuania. Along its route, the pipeline crosses the Volga, Oka, Dnieper, Dniester, Vistula, Danube, hundreds of small rivers, thousands of automobile roads and railroads, runs through swamps of Polesye and through the Carpathian Mountains.
The system of the Druzhba oil trunk pipelines efficiently operated from the Regional Control Station in Bryansk consisted of 8.9 thousand kilometers of pipelines (including 3.9 thousand kilometers in Russia), 46 pump stations, including four pipe-end pump stations: Lopatino, Klin, Nikolskoye, Unecha, and tank farms.
In March 2012, Specialized Sea Oil Port «Ust-Luga», operating in a test mode, shipped the first batch of Russian oil during the implementation of the Baltic Pipeline System-2 project. Later on BPS-2 (Baltic Pipeline System – 2) was submitted to Transneft Baltic, JSC.
June 2016 saw completion of integration efforts that pursued optimising production activities of Transneft entities and shaping out the unified system for oil and petroleum product pipeline transportation.
Transneft Druzhba is comprised by petroleum product trunk pipeline system facilities that interlink the largest refineries of Samara region and Bashkortostan with fuel consumption areas. Petroleum product pipelines cross the major waterways: Volga, Oka, Sura, Voronezh, Don, and Desna rivers.
Now the structure of Transneft Druzhba, JSC consists of 4 district directions (Bryansk, Michurinsk, Kuibyshev, Penza) and production and operation unit (POU).
